I’m still using Windows Briefcase to sync files on a flash/jump/USB drive (Whatever you want to call it). I put the briefcase on the USB drive, work on the files while the drive is plugged into a laptop, then when I have the opportunity, I plug the USB drive into the computer that keeps the “originals” and update the files. I have a couple of websites that I work on, and lots of documents on the USB drive.
The problem is that I don’t always have instant access to the computer that keeps the original files, but that computer is connected to a network that I can acces when I want to.
Is there a way to sync the files by plugging in the USB drive to another computer on the network other than the computer that contains the original files? The computer that has the originals is WinXP the laptop is WinXP the other computer I can use on the network is Windows 2000 Pro. The laptop is can also connect to the network wirelessly.
I know that briefcase does not have that capability, but does something else?
