i need help programing access calendar can anyone please help?

Hi, i am very new to this i am using Microsoft Access for a diary that i am creating i have inserted a calendar on a form using the activeX controls. what i need is to automatically go to the days date and when you click on a day it shows a filter of another form for just that date in either a hover box or another form. i know im asking a lot and i am very new at this like is said. thank you in advance

Well set to today's date

would be simply setting the date property to Today() ina suitable event (FormOpen, FormActivate ??)

The other bit you need to think about, hover box would be unbelievably irritating.
Another form, thing is it would probaly have to or want to throw it up on chnage of date, so while scrolling through, it would go barking mad.
Even if teh data was on the same form that could get irritating, mon another one , yuck..

Either way there should be an OnChange event for the calendar control, stuff some code in it it see what happens.

You might want to get yourself a developing applications with access book, it will be a big help.
