I updated a friends Compaq Presario 4704 Desktop computer from Windows 95 to Windows 98 SE and everything went great except I can’t get the modem to work. I pulled the cover off and looked at the (1996)modem and it had a sticker on it with the following numbers: co-2819IVD and 96-294-45468
I think it must be a driver problem. I have been to the compaq website with no luck. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do next? Thanks
