Hi all,
I’m really new to the whole XML thing and need a step by step show & tell as to how to take an XSD file and create a completed *.xml file populated with dummy data that I can use as my data source.
I have an XSD file I created using VS2005’s graphical interface. I’ve created the *.vb file using: xsd -c -l:vb my.xsd , but I have no idea what to do next. I’ve watched hours of vids, but they always start by building the XML file & then create the XSD from that, I don’t have that luxury as that piece of the program hasn’t been built the draws the info from the database. All I have is the report they want populated.
The XSD file is pretty complex with several levels of Elements and Attributes staring with a Group that will eventually contain 10 separate Elements(each pg of the report). I?ve never built an XML file, let alone one this diverse.
