I wish to remove Mandriva 2009 and leave XP behind

How do I do it? I tried google searching this but I get answers like.

“If you want to remove the grub boot and mandriva partition:
1 – boot with Mandriva One(he live edition)
2 – login as root : su –
3 – erase the first sector : dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hda bs=512 count=1
(replace hda for sda if your hard drive is SATA-connected) PAY ATTENTION TO
THIS COMMAND, DO NOT FORGET THE BS PARAMETER AND COUNT PARAMETERS
4 – remove the mandriva partition using the disk manager in the mandriva
control center
5 – reboot (so the changes will be taken into account).
6 – you should be directly into windows now. Defragment the disk, reboot
7 – start again the One edition and in the disk manager, select the windows
partition and click on the advanced options. enlarge the disk to the maximum
and validate.
8 – reboot, and you have now your full disk available”

Which just leave me scratching my head. Right about the “su” point it completely loses me.

I don’t have XP discs.

I want to remove the duelboot Mandriva and restore the drive for XP only.

Help?

I have Hirens Boot CD already created if this can help.
