We have 4 IBM Info Print 12 Printers on our NT 4 Network. They are set up on a domain controller running NT 4 SP6a. Out of the 4 printers we are having problems with 2 in particular. (although we have have problems with all of them atleast 1 time) For no apparent reason the printer will hang when a user sends a print job to the printer. The printer shows that it is online but sits there as if no print job was sent to it. The users try to clear their document (which they do have the appropriate rights to do) but when you look in the print queue, even though it says it is deleting the job, the jobs sits there for 1-2 hours before deleting and allowing anyone else to print to it. We even purge all jobs and it still takes 1-2 hours to delete this job. We called IBM and they said it was a post script driver problem. We don’t even use the post scipt drivers nor do we print anything that needs the post script drivers loaded. Anyways since we are unable to get this resolved through IBM, I thought I would post this problem here and see if anyone might know what is causing the problem. Thanks in advacne for the help.
