IBM launches Linux-only Power servers

In an effort to sell more of its Power processors, IBM plans to ship Linux-only servers priced to compete in the inexpensive server market. This is a significant change of strategy for Big Blue.
Although IBM has put a significant amount of marketing muscle behind Power processors and Linux, the reaction of the Linux community has been lukewarm.
