My IBM Thinkpad will not boot up. When I switch it on, the Dard Drive does spin up but after the bios looks at the CD the next step os to read the Drive. The screen stays blank and I cannot enter (I think) the Bios setup area. Is my Bios in error. With a desktop I could have the Drive disconnected and laying on the bench and I could still acctss the Bios setup. Are Laptops different?
