ICS Manager Error

by whymee . Updated 24 years, 2 months ago

I recently have been plagued with a problem in trying to set up my home network. I am using Intel Wireless Anypoint II. I have worked with the upper echelon tech from Intel in trying to setup my network. After several attempts, we managed to accomplish the setup. I am using my desktop pc (ME) as the server and a Dell Inspiron 8100 Notebook as the client (WinXP) I have noticed from time to time I am prompted with an error message (Ics Mgr) when I shut down the server pc. I am using a cable modem (ATT Broadband) to connect to the internet. As I said earlier I had connection with both pc?s, however just today I wasn’t able to access the client for either internet connection or network purposes. I have searched MS knowledge base for a possible remedy, with no luck. I would like to also mention that when I attempt to log on with the client, it somehow it disrupts my server internet connection, and the only way I am able to get the connection to the internet back is by disabling theInternet sharing on the server pc. The Intel tech advised me to contact MS if I experience any further error messages concerning Ics manager on shut down. Please advise.
