IDE and SATA Problems

By Delta88 ·
I have a Asus A7N8-X Deluxe mobo, and I can't get my computer to boot with both IDE and SATA hard drives connected. It boots fine with just SATA plugged in, but when I plug in the IDE drive and the SATA drive, or just the IDE drive, it hangs at 'Verifying DMI Pool Data'. Both of the hard drives work.

Still Nothing

I have tried to do that, but in the BIOS, there is no option to change it to boot from the SATA device. There is only SCSI in the BIOS selection, and a bunch of HDD's, ex: (HDD_0, HDD_1, HDD_2).

Sata is sometimes detected as scsi

That should be the option you are selecting. Unless one of the HDs is your SATA HD.
