IDE Controller PCI Card – Windows Vista compatibility ?

by hutchy80 . Updated 18 years, 9 months ago

Hi Guys,
I am considering upgrading to Windows Vista (Home Premium) and have found my ‘Promise Ultra 100 TX2/133 TX2’ IDE Controller is not compatible and will not work after Vista is installed. This would mean I would loose the use of 4x250GB HDD’s.

Can you therefore please recommend and advise me if you know of a suitable IDE (not SATA) Raid type controller that would enable the addition of 4 extra HDD’s which WILL work with Windows Vista. (I am currently using Windows XP Pro SP2 with 1GB RAM). I have searched the Net but have failed to come up with a solution.
Best regards,
