IDE drive is not recognized in Vista

By nicmertens ·
Yesterday I finally installed the Vista on my pc and I remarked the absence of my 2nd harddrive which is in IDE.

My first drive is a SATA and was recognized
without any problem.

In the BIOS of my pc I can see the IDE drive with the 2 NTFS partitions but in Vista this drive dissapeared.

I tried the diskmanager in Vista and I don't even see this IDE drive as offline, it is simply not showed at all.

Any ideas on how I can let it show?

On the "IDE"drive make sure...

The jumper is in the right slot. At the back of your drive there is a small (blue or black) plastic type connector make sure this is on the slot marked "Master or MST", then see if your Vista machine picks it up.

Please post back if you have more problems or questions.
