Identifying group priviledges

By wpitts1 ·
I just assumed responsibility for a NT4 network after the previous person left (no turnover, no documentation). I need to try to tighten security, but I have no idea of what each group now on the system can access. Are there utilities in NT 4 thatcan flow chart or map this info, or are there 3rd party utilities that will do it?

There are some good 3rd party tools for this sort of thing - try Sunbelt for a good collection of 3rd party tools (www.sunbelt-software.com). I think Domain reporter is the tool you want, but have a browse, you may see something you like more!

cheers

I know there's a shareware program called DUMPACL. It's very useful. I don't know for sure but I think you can download it at www.bhs.com

Hyena from adkins research will do this easily, among many other things. Any good NT Software site will have a 30-day demo for download. (bhs.com, zdnet, tucows etc)
