Identifying the user

By arief ·
In our network, PCs using dhcp by cisco (2600). Some pc are part of windows 2000 domain and some not (UNIX).I have 3com offficeConnect firewall that seat behind the router. I would like to identify the pcs that access the web sites that are not allowed by our police. I have blocked some sites by firewall, but few days later I see they have work around it. Firewall creates a report that shows blocked site, source and destination. But does not resolve the source to PC internal ip. It only list one of the pool of ips.Any suggestions?

We use surfcontrol here at where I'm at. This give us the ability to block sites as per our Internet Usage Policy. It also give reporting ability and those can be used for acountability. There is also an alerting feature that will send an email if someone goes to a site that they shouldn't.
