IE 3.0 ——> Anything above

I know it is an old program but it does come with Windows 95 and I have had problems with it on numerous occasions. At work and at school. I have tried to upgrade from Internet Explorer 3.0 to anything above it and it will not take the download. It quits either in the middle of the download or doesn’t even let the download start before it says it can’t continue installing the updated version. It is not the connection because both of the connections were either T1 or above. Does anyone knowof any bugs or reasons why this happens and how to correct it. I suggested at least in our office to download Netscape and install that and then download a newer version of IE after that is installed but it just seems ridiculous that it is so hard to upgrade from this version of IE to a newer one. Another job well done by Microsoft.
