I have a user that is running NT 4.0 sp6a and IE 5.5. The user is getting unwanted popup banners during the day even when not using the internet. We are using NAT on our firewall so the ip address of the computer is not broadcast over the internet. It happens about 1 hour apart. I have deleted all cookies, temporary internet files and history, rebooted and it still happens. There are no scheduled tasks either.
How do I clear the history for the address in IE 5.5. Each time I sart typing an address it drops down with addresses that match.
