By Gary D ·
I have a small issue, it is not a big deal but a paion none the less. When I click on a link in IE6, all of my fonts enlarge abouit 3 or 4 fonts larger. When this happens I cannot read the page because all the words run into one another or are superimposed. Any Ideas?

Installing Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 could help:

Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (SP1) is the most recent version of Internet Explorer 6 core technologies in Windows XP. Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 provides a private, reliable, andflexible browsing experience and the freedom to experience the best of Internet for Windows XP, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows 98 users. To download and install Internet Explorer 6 SP1, follow these steps:

NOTE: Internet Explorer 6 SP1 is included with Windows XP SP1. If Windows XP SP1 is installed on your computer, you need not download and install Internet Explorer 6 SP1.

1. Visit the following Web page:

www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/ie6sp1/default.asp

2. Select a language from the Select Language drop-down menu and click Go.
3. Under Download section, click Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1.
4. To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run this program from its current location.

NOTE: If you wish to copy the download to your hard drive and install the service pack later, click Save or Save this program to disk option. Double-click the saved ie6setup.exe file to begin the installation.5. Follow the onscreen instructions.
6. Restart the computer.

Internet Explorer 6 SP1 should now be installed on your computer.

To view a list of the fixes in Internet Explorer 6 SP1, visit the following Web page:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q326489

Hope the problem is resolved. :)

IE 6, fonts change

Set the font size in View > "Text Size".

If the settings are not retained, try this:

click start > run > regedit.exe
goto the following key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\International\Scripts\3]
"IEFontSize"=hex:02,00,00,00

Set the IEFontSize values according to ur wish. The legal values for IEFontSize are 01,02,03, and 04 with 1 being the smallest, 4 the largest and 2 being the default medium font.
