IE and Java issues

I am working on an image that my boss and I have been building and have hit a snag. It seems that whenever a java app is used in IE 7 or 6 (all that we have tested,) IE crashes. I have reinstalled both and still have had no success. I have the latest updates of both IE and Java and have never encountered this problem before.

I found an article at Javas site as well as Microsoft’s but neither had a viable solution.

Any ideas?
