IE Can't display the Picture

By salahmoh ·
Hi all,
Occasionally, when i visit a web page the browser doesn't display some of the icons. And it shows red X in place of the Icon. If i reboot and go back i see the icon fine. Any idea why.
Thanks

IE Can't display the Picture

Internet connectivity speed (or lack thereof). Refreshing the page forces IE to go back out and pickup the page.

If these pages are visited regularly, the icons in your cache may have gotten corrupted.

Hi, this happens to me too. Lack of memory and poor memory management is the cause. My home PC has Win ME (I know better now) and 256k of RAM. Supposedly this will happen a lot less with a better OS (XP or NT) and more RAM.

If you're running something that isn't Windows-based, I'm out of my league. *G*

Hoping this helps,
Rick

Mine does it on anything that does not load in 3 seconds.

IE Can't display the Picture

Thanks all. I have enough ram (256) and using LAN speed (TI) so i don't think speed/connectivity is an issue.
I often refresh and IE still doesn't show the picture(icons).
Thx
