IE caused IPF in module SBCIE01F.DLL

Windows 95 with IE 5.0. Can launch browser, but only once per boot. If close browser and try to relaunch, receive following error: Iexplore – This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. Details: IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in module SBCIE01F.DLL. Hard to tell if it is SBCIE01F.DLL(zero) or SBCIEO1F.DLL(letter O). When I click the Close button, a warning window pops up saying: Microsoft Internet Explorer – There was an internal error. Must reboot in orderto launch IE again. Funny thing is, if I launch IE successfully, I can open new windows through the File menu, but not with Ctrl+N. And, I cannot open additional new windows from the original new windows through the File menu or with Ctrl+N. Receive same message with each error.

Have tried deleting temp internet files and clearing history, running IE repair utility and uninstalling/re-installing IE5. Get same errors. Have done extensive research on the Internet for the error, but find nothing on SBCIE01F.DLL or find anything else that has helped. Would appreciate any help anyone can give. Thanks.
