IE dns (wan) error but firefox works

By gaco ·
With IE6 and windows explorer I can open internal web sites, but external (outside my DNS,like www.google.com and others returns ''The page cannot be displayed'') while other web browsers work fine for all sites.Nslookup, ping to www.google.com returns correct.MS firewall and other, antivirus, antispy are disabled.

How about clearing all internet temporary files and cookies? That usually helps.

It was already cleared before. Also is everything cleared from registry refering to previous installed antispy and antivirus. Right now there's no instaled any of this program.I'have already reinstall IE and SP2 as the NIC as well.Without installed SP the problem stil remain.I believe something stuck in registry.

I'd say it is about time you consider starting from a clean image or wipe the hard drive and install from scratch.

Spyware / adware infection. Download the free antispyware Beta from www.microsoft.com and clean it up.
