IE keeps crashing

By idts ·
I have a client where her IE keeps crashing. She's told to debug and then send a report to M'soft. She's running XP and I believe she said she installed SP2. I'll have to confirm.

I made a mistake and "removed" some components of Windows from the "Add/Remove" area of the Control Panel and now we have difficulty getting them to reinstall when we return to that area and check the box to install them.

She also received a message. "The file 'market.mar" on Windows XP Home edition service pack CD is needed."

I asked her to locate her XP CD with the intention of running a "Repair" on it.

My question is: Would running the XP "Repair" correct her problem with IE always crashing AND allow her to add the components of Windows?

Thanks for any assistance.

I don't know why I didn't think of it. All her problems cleared up. I also suggested she not use IE and use Firefox and now she's very happy after finding Firefox very stable and secure.

Just donwload GOZILLA, it's harder for plug-ins 2 to infest and less affected by pop-ups. It also had a good download manager.
Im not trying to make a GOZILLA commercial here but IE just SUCKS !
