IE Problems

By wennock ·
I have a issue where I have two identical machines Dell Inspiron 8100's with XP Pro on and version IE 6.0.2800.1106, with SP1 on thro a network connect to the internet via ASDL.
Although I am unable to logon to a web page,
This is a secure site which I have a log on ID for but when one machine logs on its starts to log on but then goes no further than a lon on in process screen. The working machine logs on with no problems atall.
Can anybody make any suggestion as to what settings on the PC or network somewhere that could be resulting in this error

In your internet options, check the security level, and cookie options on the machine that won't log on. Preventing Cookies or blocking third-party cookiess can prevent you from logging on and visiting many sites.

all IE settings have been reset to default settings, tried low settings set to accept all cookies.
All privcey, content, security setting have all been changed to various levels all making no differance to the machine that wont work.

Go to tools\internet options\security\

Click on the trusted sites.

Now click on the sites button.

Now add the site basic url to this area. You can usually stop at the .com.

This doesn't resolve the issue, the site is accessable just when the IDs is inputted the site doesnt go any further than a "log on in process" screen
