My home computer freezes when I hit the IE icon on my desktop. The cursor stays stuck on the screen. I have IE 5 and tried to upgrade to 5.5 after the problem occurred. Did not help. I can dial up to get e-mail and also to bring in the download thatwas an exe file on a disk. No web page appeared, only the download window.
I have an HP Pavilion and use Att Worldnet service. I was trying to set up some games for my son and wonder whether any setting changes may have been involved.I also tried to download Netscape but recieved error messages about not connecting to the sight.
