IE toolbar buttons

By kcav ·
In IE when I click on View, Toolbars, Customize the available toolbar buttons are displayed. How can I change the list? I have obsoleted software listed there. How are items added and deleted from the list of available buttons.

If you are not using an older version of Windows such as 95, you can simply install an updated new version of IE from the Windows Update site. This will update your toolbars and buttons. They are added there as per the Microsoft programmers, but you can possibly change what's available there via the system Registry. I wouldn't recommend that unless you are very advanced and you know how to back up and restore the registry prior to making any changes. Registry changes are usually instantaneous and cannot be undone.

Thank you for your reply. I am using IE 6.0.2800.1106. I wonder is it possibe to append a command that redirects the call to list I prepare?

Softwares are listed on the toolbar when you isntall certain softwares. For example: If you see a link called DAP in the toolbar, it means that you have installed Download accelerator and you have checked the option to list the icon on the toolbar. By opening the software application, you can remove the particular link from the toolbar.
