I have this problem on my home p.c. that’s bugging me beyond words – using win2000,13GBHD,128MB ram,45MHZprocessor – good system. problem is removing I.E. ver.5.5 incl. serv.pack&tools-upgraded 2 I.E.6. it malsfunctions on me and drops connections while viewing – get error reports,runs report, then shuts down page and re-opens another. I want 2 totally wipe it off my system clean & then start all over. when I go into add/rem prog=win2k lists 3 options-chg/rem prog’s / add new prog / add/rem windows components. I go into add/rem prog’s and it shows my I.E. as I.E.6 18.7MB
only options avail. are (repair or restore).
go 2 advance tab only options are (restore prev. instl or del. backup info on I.E) which doesn’t help me either. I want 2 totally remove I.E from my system. pls, show me how.
something else I noticed in the add/rem prog’s group = 9 listings called (windows2000 hot fix (pre-sp2) (seeq280838 4 more info)??
have no idea what these are or what they’re there for. pls, respond waiting 4 your response ……
