IE will not pull up with Windows 2000

We have a new Win2K machine connected to a network. IE 5 works fine going through our ISDN line. Away from the office on dial-up the pc connects and I can ping everything but no web pages appear. I have had several people look at it and all of the DNS settings are correct. Any Ideas?
