I have a small lan consisting of all Compaq computers. The client running win/98 is my connection to the internet tcp/ip is bound to my dial up adapter the PDC and the BDC are both running NT Server 4.0 I am running netbeui as my protocol my networkis running just fine but I want to upgrade the Internet Explorer version on both the domain controllers to IE5 I have downloaded IE5 from microsoft and put the file on both domain controllers but when I execute setup it only gets so far before I geta message saying setup was unable to access the internet. I don’t really want to have access to the internet with these computers, I just want to update the browser to IE5. Any suggestions?

IE5 goes out on the internet to check for and download certain items. If you look hard or have a TechNet CD you may be able to find a complete download. Otherwise you will need to have internet access.
