IE5 Proxy Exceptions Disappear

by adam . Updated 24 years, 5 months ago

I use IE5 in the office connecting via a Proxy server. I therefore specify a proxy server and exceptions for intranet sites. Occasionally I use a dial-up connection from home to an ISP (Freenet) to connect to a VPN connection.

When I return to the office I find that the proxy server settings I had have been deleted – i.e the IP Address and the list of exceptions. I’ve tried Freenet support to no avail.

I chose Freenet because you dont need to install a bespoke copy of IE5 – I can just use the one I had installed originally – it’s a simple dial up setting to connect.

Does anyone have any ideas to stop this happening OR any ideas how to create a simple script that can re-add these settings (say an .exe I can put on my desktop).
Thanks for any help
Adam Gill
