IE6 deployment w/ non-MS default options

by rsexton . Updated 23 years, 8 months ago

I am attempting to standardize the IE6 installs on the machines that I
administer at a college with Internet access via a LAN/T1.

With our bandwidth, page caching is not necessary. Actually it’s
counterproductive in consideration of the interface we use for webcourses,
which requires a refreshed view at “every visit to a page”. This interface
also requires that all three Microsoft VM options be checked.

All the boxes that I maintain have either Windows 2000pro or XP, which give
newusers to the box “automatic refresh” and NO Java console or logging
enabled by
default.

I’ve tried setting these options on a template account which is copied to
the default user profile, but that doesn’t work. I’ve searched/tweaked the
registry with only limited success. I’ve also JUST started attempting to use
the IEAdministratorsKit for IE6, but haven’t seen these settings among the options
to be set on a
package.

Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

Beaucoups thanks in advance…
