IE6 – Removing all toolbars except for Address Bar

by scott.manning . Updated 18 years, 6 months ago

I have been searching the net for a few hours now and have not come across the answer on how to remove all the toolbars / command bar as well as all the buttons and links on IE6 except forhte Address Bar and the FOrward and Back Buttons.

I would like to do this via registry entries as it has to be applied on a local machine basis, and local group policies seem….well “screwy” when wanting to apply to a local machine.

I am trying to lock down a PC and have sorted everything else out, i just cant IE6 sorted.

I was thinking I could use KIOSK Mode, but this doesnt allow a user to be able to enter there own addresses in the URL bar….
Any help or links would be appreciated.
