By rogerhagan ·
I KEEP GETTING THE FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGE WHEN I USE IEXPLORER VER. 5. (IEXPLORE CAUSED A PAGE FAULT IN MODULE GDI32.DLL). WHEN I CONNECT TO THE INTERNET USING EXPLORER MY TEXT IS ALL GARBLED AND THEN THIS ERROR MESSAGE BOX APPEARS. WHEN I CLOSETHE BOX, IT TAKES ME BACK TO MY WINDOWS DESKTOP. I HAVE REINSTALLED WIN98, BUT THIS DID NOT TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM.

I have a couple suggestions:
One is to move to IE5.01
Another is to do all the updates from Microsoft, for your system and browser, you can do that at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and select products update.
Finally, after all is done, go to your ie, select Tools, Internet options, advanced, select all the java options and everything else that applies.

Good luck!

Problems with the Graphics Device Interface module usually are caused by printer drivers. Get the latest drivers from the manufacturer, uninstall the original drivers and install the new one. If there isn't a newer driver do the uninstall/install anyway.

I've had this problem with a few printers and that always clears it.

Good Luck!
