If we were in heaven…or hell

Being devoid of our physical, body shells, would our fingernails still grow?

Would we continue to grow our hair/beards?

As people age, the spinal cord shortens due to decaying vertebrae, would we continue to get shorter and shorter until we had no more ‘body’ to fill?

Would we then be deemed spirits, just passages of energy that has no place to go? Energy cannot be created or destroyed after all, or so we have concluded anyway.
