IGFXEXT.EXE

By lilcoll79 ·
To begin went through a renaming process, error happened, machines won't connect to the domain, lost admin password, trying to hack.

Ok, on to the problem, I am repairing Windows XP, during the repair it stops and says "the file IGFXEXT.EXE in intel graphics media accelerator driver is needed."

Can't find the driver anywhere! And when I cancel the error pops back up, only this time the mouse and keyboard are dead! Happens every time! I need help!

Thanks!
Colleen

But this is a XP Driver for the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator it may be what you need.

You should

by IC-IT In reply to IGFXEXT.EXE

be able to download the driver from your computer manufacturer's support page.
Then unzip (if required) it to either a floppy or cd and when requested insert that disk and browse to it.
If you need help locating the driver post your system info i.e. Manufacturer's or motherboard make and model.

IGFXEXT.EXE - Same issue

by billfullen In reply to Me too

I have the same issue when upgrading from Win 2000 to XP, but I do not get the option to click anything or browse. Once I have the message, the Keyboard and mouse are already frozen.

Fix - This seems to be due to me using a USB mouse and keyboard, so I rebooted using a PS2 keyboard and mouse and was able to cancel through the message.
