I recently migrated 1900 websites from an NT4 machine using bound IP’s to a W2K machine using host headers.
I used Microsoft’s supplied VBscript mkw3site.vbs to create the sites in IIS5. Unfortunately the script only provides you with a place for the primary hostname (I chose www.domainname.com as the primary). I was wondering if there is a way to programmatically add other hostnames (namely domainname.com) into the IIS profile of each site rather than going to Properties|Website|Advanced button for each site and adding 1900 headers manually. Right now, all the sites will show if the user types in www.domainname.com but not domainname.com. I am in the process of switching them one by one but hope I do not have to do all 1900 sites manually this way.
