IIS 5 Host Headers

by dwdino . Updated 23 years, 9 months ago

I recently installed HP TopTools to monitor our growing network. By default it is installed to /hptt. This installation works fine but is a pain to remember.

I went into DNS and added and alias for the server hosting this (toptools -> servername), so that network personel could simply put toptools in a browser to use.

The problem is getting IIS to handle this. I attempted to create a new “site” using the directory Toptools is installed into. No go!

I basically need IIS to pass “http://toptools” to “http://server/hptt”. Also need to do the samething for Web Jet Admin. Need to pass “http://webjetadmin” to “http://servername:8000”.

Thanks
