IIS 5.0 and SSL

By kahlich ·
I have Verisign Secure Site Certificate. 1024 Bit, allows 128bit encryption on my web site. However when I go to the site i am only receiving 56bit encryption with IE 5.5 128 bit browser. Suggestions?

What OS are you accessing the website from? If it's win2k, have you gone to the Windows update website and downloaded the 128-bit sercurity update? I really don't know if this will help, but it's worth a try if you haven't already.

You have to enforce the web site to accept only 128 bit encryption.

This would not allow 40 bit browsers to view the site.

I found the solution. I had to install a fix for Windows 2K called Enpack_Win2000_EN.exe. This allowed 128 browsers to view the site at 128. Thank you all for your help.
