I have recently acquired a new computer equipped with Windows XP Home Edition. After trying to set up and install IIS, I discovered that I could not locate it. (There is no option to add it as a Windows component that I could identify, and I could not locate an add-on snap-ion from the MMC Console.) I was also unable to find any help articles on the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
Is the reason that I can’t find IIS on XP Home because it only ships with XP Professional Edition? Or is it located somewhere I haven’t looked yet? Also it the latest version of IIS only ships with XP Pro, could I install IIS 4 from the NT Option Pack on XP Home?
