First of all, thanks for the reply.

What I wanted to know was, is there a way for me to receive an e-mail alert from my webserver when someone encounters a 404 error? If so, where do I configure this function?

404 Errors

As those are being reported by their browser and could be caused by a whole host of issues...

Hmmmmm I am going to have to think about this one a bit.

From IIS, but you can look into ks host monitor. It will monitor pretty much anything from ping, smtp, snmp, http, hd space...we use it here and it works pretty well. You can have it setup so it send you page to your cell phone or email...
