Plea: I’ve been having a real hell of a time figuring out what’s going on with IIS after installing the Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 and High Encription Pack.
Does anyone have any insights?
System: P3 500Mhz, 128MB RAM, Win2k Professional, 5+GB available, no previous problems or issues.
Short Description:
After installing the Win2k High Encryption Pack and Win2k Service Pack 1, IIS services no longer respond. The MMC is also dead, not even showing the splash screen. Rolling back service pack changes didn’t help, and uninstalling IIS bombed as well.
