IISAM driver for FOXPRO 2.6 and Office 2

By sobranko ·
After installing Office 2000, you cannot use
IISAM driver for FoxPro 2.6 anymore!
Does anybody knows how to solve this problem?
(You can use driver for Visual Fox, but it's an ODBC driver and it's too slow for large tables width many indices!)

In the Import, Export, and Link dialog boxes in Microsoft Access 2000, FoxPro is not listed as an option for file type because the Microsoft FoxPro ISAM driver is no longer included with Microsoft Access.

To import from, link to, and export to Microsoft FoxPro, the Visual FoxPro
ODBC driver is the only option provided with Access 2000.

The program planning and marketing reasons for why Microsoft has chosen to
switch from the FoxPro ISAM driver to the Visual FoxPro ODBC Driver in various Microsoft products, such as Access 2000, and the Microsoft Data Access Components are:

Connectivity (link or import) to FoxPro tables was previously supported in
prior versions of Microsoft Access via the installable ISAM driver, Odbcjt32.dll. With the release of Microsoft Access 2000 and Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.1, connectivity to FoxPro tables using the
installable ISAM driver (version 4.00 and later) is no longer supported.

MS now support connectivity to FoxPro files through the FoxPro ODBC driver, Vfpodbc.dll. For ref. info. check these KB articles:

I hope this helps! It was supplied by a Database admin I know who dug it out of microsoft.
