ILLEGAL ACTION BY NETSCAPE

By ankanwal ·
Whenever I press a toolbar button of the Netscape4.6, the Win98 flashes a message that Netscape has done an illegal action and the system hangs up. Otherwise, the browser does well to connect to any given URL address. Uninstalling and reinstalling the software has done no good. IE runs good on the system. Has it anything to do with the accidental removal of some plug in ?

ILLEGAL ACTION BY NETSCAPE

I don't think it would be a plugin that would cause Netscape not to function. The toolbar buttons are basic things for the program, and if you have uninstalled and reinstalled Netscape it has to be Windows itself.
If you are running windows 98 first edition I would upgrade to second edition.
If you are running second edition already try reinstalling windows SE itself.

Hope that helps
