By dnjoroge ·
I'm being for a password to logon to a win 2000 professional print server. When I try to logon to a windows professional computer which serves as a print server. I getting "you don't have permission" kind of response and still from another windows 98 w/station i'm requested to provide a password for the \\server\IPC$.
THANK YOU.

what you have to do is ask the local admin of your print server to create a local account on that machine for you,(use same username and password)that you use when logging on to other machine to access the print server!
the problem is that you donthave access (permissions)to access the printer.

Hello,
I am nadeem... your problem is with permissions in the Windows2000 Domain controller. Contact your administrator and check with the printing permissions.

The problem which it is asking you the password on 98 w/station is not allow you to logon to other workstations,... as you have permission to logon on to your workstation only.
