Ok, long story time. About a couple months back, I went on vacation for two weeks and came back to find my computer wasn’t working. I’d turn it on and it would start up, but nothing would display. For a long time, I kept testing out different things to try and find the problem. The monitor worked on other computers, and I ended up getting a new video card, but still no change. Finally I gave it to the Geek Squad at Best Buy to install a new motherboard (cause I’m lazy), which seemed like it would be the last thing it could be. But they still couldn’t get it to work and recommended replacing the processor. So I got a new one and had them install it as well (again, lazy). They’ve had the machine for almost two weeks, and now they say the machine’s still not working and they’re out of ideas. They’ve tested out different power supplies, graphics cards, and whatever random parts they could find. I’m probably going to go pick it up soon, but I’m not sure if another computer place would have any better luck; plus they’d just charge me even more.
I’ve had the computer for a year without any problems, but now I’m stumped. Anyone out there have any other ideas?
