I’ve got a thinkpad and although I have read an answer regarding SFC
and how to go around it without the CD, it doesn’t work for me. I
continually asks for the CD. I know the registry has got to be
corrupted due to various trojans, viruses, and a hijack. I was advised
not to upgrade to XP2 until everything is out. I’ve used all the tools
recommended to me and still I know something is inside. It seems
like a never ending battle. I have used Bullguard, Adaware, Spybot,
the Java helper spware. Just when all seems to be ok; as soon as I
get on the net; ………it’s all over. I know that one should update
everthing before going on the net and I can’t seem to do the
streamline updating. I am on my mac now as its 6 years old and
fortunately it never fails me; thank god. I’m not a snob with the mac
but now, given what is going on on the internet, it seems to be the
best thing to surf the net with.Along with this I’m have intemiten
problems with my ISP. Thank you in advance for your prompt
