Implementing disk cleanup on a network of computers

I have a network of Win XP machines that I would like to regularly run disk cleanup on.

I understand the process of setting up the sageset and scheduling it on a machine, but I need to do this across the network for ALL machines.

running sageset:XX and picking the options then saving it out apparently creates a registry entry.

Where is that entry and how can I then get that same entry on to ALL machines and THEN schedule every machine to do the sagerun:XX each week.

I am finding some slightly usful information out there, but can’t ge tthe definative source for this process.

write a login script to create the registry entry, when each user logs in it will ensure your task is scheduled.

Ex:
first bat: cleanmgr /sageset:11
second bat: at 00:00 cleanmgr /sagerun:11

Teh The file-selection settings you configure reside in the client’s HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\
Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VolumeCaches registry key. Under that key are subkeys that correspond to the available selections in Disk Cleanup. Within those subkeys are StateFlags entries that correspond to the number you provided to the /sageset parameter.

Why not MAP the drives in question….

If you MAP the drives (depending on how many computers you have) in question then you might be able to schedule the clean up through either the server or another computer. Why i say this is because i can do this through Vista, but you should be able to do this through XP.
Just a thought. 🙂
