Background: The NT domain server
crashed hours before the schedule
migration to 2000. Since we were
unable to resolve the NT issue, a
ghost backup was made of the
server and the migration to 2000 was
attempted. 2000 would only perform
a clean install and would not update
NT.
Problem: Is there any way to import
the 400+ users with mandatory
student profile from the files restored
by ghost on another machine, or
would we be better off promoting the
backup NT Domaincontroller to a
primary controller and importing the
user’s through a trust relationship?
