Importing old Outlook 2000 contacts into Outlook 2007 doesn’t work

Hi,

I have loaded all my old Outlook 2000 contacts into my new Outlook 2007. But when I type a first or last name into a new email, the program doesn’t recognize a thing. Says no such contact. Even when I type a brand-new name and email into contacts–same thing.

Is there a trick to this please? In Outlook 2000, anything in contacts would be automatically accessible when you create a new email.
