i will assume that you use outlook now for some other email system and not exchange and that you are going to use exchange.

if so, on your current setup, if not already done, make a PErsonal Folder (.pst) file and make sure all your info is there.

Then, once you get on Exchange, on your Outlook profile for Exchange, add a PErsonal Folder, using Tools services, and point it to the same .pst file.

At that point, you should have both the Personal Folder info (.pst) and the Exchange info on the same profile and will be able to see both mail stores

MAke sure you have view folders turned on. Click on View, Folder List.

Drag the info (choose copy using right mouse button) from the .pst folders to the same exchange folders.

At that point, the info is on both the exch server and the .pst file.

Once you satisfied, you can remove the PErsonal folder from your Outlook Profile under Tools Services.

The info will still be on the .pst file wherever you had it. you just won't be using it.

Another way to do this (if you don't want to drag and drop all of those items) is to import your .pst file:

1. In Outlook - File, Import and Export
2. Import from another program
3. Personal File folder (.pst)
4. File to Import (Browse to the location of your .pst file)
5. Select to import all folders.

Importing Outook to the Exchange Server

by Shanghai Sam In reply to Importing Outook to the E ...

I am not clear on a few things, probably related to how I ask the questions.

Here goes, My users are only accessing their email from the web. Then a view of outlook shows up on there screen. I have a exchange server 2000. I would like to add allthe information (contacts, task, todo's) from their old machine's that they were running outlook 2000. So they will now see it when they log into the server on the web.

So I would like to import their old outlook 2000 files on the exchange server.

Is this possible if so how could I accomplish this.

Thanks, again

Bill
