    IMS Model 450????

    I was recently given an older desktop. The only thing I could find on it was IMS model 450. Does anyone know the vendor or a website where I could get some more info on it? It is only a 286 (hehe) but I was going to try and find out what was the original OS. It runs great…all original parts and all. I intend to give it to my boss as a Christmas gift (hehe) if I could get some info and possibly an OS for it.

      http://www.imscomp.com/ is IMS Computers. You could e-mail them and see if they perhaps built the ol’ gal years ago. Depending on how old the 286 is, it’s either running MS-DOS 5.0, 6.x, or Windows 3.1 (or supposed to be). I would guess it’s original OS to be MS-DOS 5.0.
